Barefoot Exhibition: Engage All Five Senses with Nature

The first project by Seomsei explores the question:
“What if the nature we take for granted were to disappear?”

This exhibition creates a vast, imaginary world where you can feel and reminisce about nature, imagining a future where it may no longer exist.

A Mysterious Journey Begins

The first theme sets a curious tone:
You enter a pitch-black cave where you must find your way out using only the sense of touch.

There’s not a single ray of light, and since you’re asked to leave your phone behind, no photos are allowed. If you’re afraid of the dark or suffer from claustrophobia, this might be challenging. However, going with a friend means you’ll lean on each other for support, and that’s where the journey of experiencing nature truly begins.

Some visitors say it’s terrifying because of the overwhelming darkness. But since it only takes about 30 seconds to exit, it’s worth the thrill!
However, those with severe claustrophobia or panic disorders might find it difficult.
On a positive note, the space is infused with a natural, earthy scent—though it was a bit chilly inside.

 

Feel Nature Beneath Your Feet

Since it’s a barefoot exhibition, the tactile experience is emphasized:

• Clay-like Textures

The exhibition is surprisingly long and spacious. In the reed field section, beautifully arranged lights mimic a sunset over a reed forest, creating a nostalgic, dreamlike atmosphere. No matter where you take a photo, it effortlessly captures an aesthetic vibe.

Float Away on a Waterbed

Adjacent to the reed field is a waterbed area.
I ended up lying there for about 30 minutes. The gentle waves of the waterbed, combined with the sky view, made me feel as if I were lying by the sea. Every movement created a wave-like ripple, perfectly mimicking the ocean’s rhythm.

Photo-Worthy Spots Everywhere

The staircases are adorned with beautifully arranged greenery, offering plenty of photo opportunities.
The best part? Timed admissions ensure the space never feels crowded, so you can take your time snapping pictures without feeling rushed.

More Hidden Gems and a Cozy Café

There are many other fun and unique spaces, but I was too immersed in the experience to take many photos!
At the end of the exhibition, you’ll find a charming café where you can enjoy a complimentary drink.

This cozy, nature-inspired space even has a rooftop area with a completely different vibe, perfect for relaxing and taking in the view.
